BrandNewMoments

Hello everyone!

Sadly, I dont have too much time this week but we keep moving forward to bring about the sacred work of the Lord Jesus Christ.  But I would like to write real quick about something we learned yesterday.  We had a mandatory Priesthood meeting for the stake and we were all super corrected about the difference between power and authority of the Priesthood.  There is tons of authority everywhere planted in the world but the power seems to be diminished and it is unacceptable to the Lord to not be able to have it because of our laziness or immorality or dishonesty in the world.

Especially being a missionary, Ive learned more and more every day than I already knew that the time is close at hand for the Second Coming of the Savior.  What will he find that day?  the goal is that each and every one of us is temple and celestial kingdom worthy.  But many of us in the world arent preparing well enough for it.  Do we readily honor our covenants with complete fidelity?  Do we use the Atonement as we should be?  Is our faith a passive belief or does it turn into actions?

One more thing i learned this week.  It is super dumb to "drive in the dark with the lights off"  (story told by stake pres.)  I really feel reinvigorated to try better and repent of all the things I am not doing right to better prepare every week for the memorial service that we attend to remember the One who died.  Yes, that is sacrament meeting, or the funeral of Jesus Christ. Power and forgiveness is given to us if we want it but moreso when we are worthy of taking it.  I leave with 2 questions.  Will you remember Him always?  and How will you remember Him always?  Especially during the passing of His body and blood to you.  Still shout for joy, because He lives again!

I love the mission!  I love having the honor to be an honorable son of God to teach my brothers and sisters of the Doctrine of Christ.

God loves you all.  Please come closer unto His Son and stay safe, away from anything that would rob you of your eternal destiny and of the Spirit.  You cannot make it back home to the Celestial Kingdom with out first going through Christ. But I know the gospel is true and the Atonement is real and readily, immediately available to the meek and humble, ready to submit to the Lord in all things.

hello everyone!

I dont have any time today but wanted to say that Adan got married to his girlfriend finally and as well, got baptized!  oh yeah!  weve been working really hard with him since beginning of April and how his girlfriend Michelle is a less active member wanting to come back and was a perfect motivator for them to do so, and now this little family with their 4 year old daughter can begin to receive the eternal blessings that this , the true church brings to all the families.  I love you all, cant stay much longer but I am healthy and doing well, sweating like no other but never caring because this work is of the Lord.  It is Him I want to please and no other.

Hello everyone!

How are you all doing?  I feel so happy that Lesly has received the Holy Ghost yesterday after having been confirmed a member of the true and only authorized church of Jesus Christ.  What a great feeling it is for all these people, all these souls who want to come unto the Savior and follow Him throughout their lives.  This week is short i know but that is the big piece of great news I wanted to share.  Of course, still doing our best to find those that have been led through their lives to hear the restored true gospel.  I hope and pray that God will continue to be merciful to show us where they are and lead them there to being baptized.

Everything else is going great, havent been sick or anything.  It is unbelievable how much meat is consumed down here, Im going to rethink about how often I have meat  haha.  No, I will not be a vegetarian, but just healthier.  Afterall, the Word of Wisdom does say use meat sparingly.  Seems we overlook that alot =P  but all in all I love the food here.  So flavorful and lots of love is always put into the cooking by the members and others.  Love Milanesa, which is a breaded and fried steak or pork chop.

Hope you all have a great week this week and take care.

Baptism/Transfer week!
Hello everyone!!

How are you all doing?  This week was awesome!  Lots of prayer this week as we were preparing for Lesly to be baptized and she did it!!  Took that important step in her life to make sacred promises with God to follow the Savior always.  The baptism itself was a little funny because the water was too hot for her (whoops, an accident) and, thank goodness there was some left over, but we went and grabbed some ice to toss in the font and Hno Garcia just dumped it in so she could feel more comfortable.  But it was an awesome service and she has had lots of good fellowship and made many friends. Her daughter, Lohany is a member in the YSA and was baptized 2 years ago.  She has seen the change in her life that the Church and the Savior have made on her and really wanted that for herself. She even was fasting to stop drinking coffee and to leave it behind forever before we even taught her the Word of Wisdom and about fasting.

She is a perfect example of those who are being prepared by the hand of the Lord to guide them through the last 10 feet down in to the Waters of baptism. Our study this week has been on Mosiah 18 when Alma was baptizing all those that wanteed to make that special promise with God.

Transfers happened, though I stayed again with my comp Spencer.  But lots of changes in our district.  We got some new sisters and a new leader too, who was born into my district in Donna so were good friends and this is going to be a really fun transfer!  The mission is the best! I cant believe this is my 8th one, or I will have hit a year in July and YTD in 2 weeks.  The time we have in serving the Lord is really short.  As well, our life here on earth is really short in comparison.  What are you doing to make the most of it for your growth and personal learning?  Do not procrastinate the day of your repentance to begin receiving the full joy of the Lord.

I love you all and hope you have a great great week.
