BrandNewMoments
Hello everyone!

How are everyone's mothers doing?  Super good day as with all other Sunday's as we got to see and skype our families back home!  Families give us the strength to keep going forward in this calling, and in any other effort or trial we face in our lives.

A little fun fact, though unfortunate, is that down here in the valley, the stakes here all have the vision of "Shepherding families and individuals to the temple" so that of course they can receive the blessings of the temple.  But sadly there are many here, individuals and families that cant go because the closest temple is in San Antonio, which sadly we missionaries cant go either, but because there is a checkpoint on the border of the valley where they cant pass.  We are really working hard as a mission to qualify for a temple down here in McAllen.  Only the Lord knows when that shall happen, all according to His timetable.

I thank Heavenly Father every day for my mom as she has done her very best to teach her children the ways of the Gospel.  Mothers work and do way more for the benefit of the human race than any other person would or can do on the earth.  I want to leave with sharing something from Elder Holland of the Twelve who came to visit the mission a few weeks ago.

"Yours is the grand tradition of Eve, the mother of all the human family, the one who understood that she and Adam had to fall in order that “men [and women] might be” and that there would be joy. Yours is the grand tradition of Sarah and Rebekah and Rachel, without whom there could not have been those magnificent patriarchal promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob which bless us all. Yours is the grand tradition of Lois and Eunice and the mothers of the 2,000 stripling warriors. Yours is the grand tradition of Mary, chosen and foreordained from before this world was, to conceive, carry, and bear the Son of God Himself. We thank all of you, including our own mothers, and tell you there is nothing more important in this world than participating so directly in the work and glory of God, in bringing to pass the mortality and earthly life of His daughters and sons, so that immortality and eternal life can come in those celestial realms on high."

Until next week!  Love you everyone!
Elder Newman

Ill have pictures again real soon, I promise!
